Maxine de Jong

Maxine began her career as a Community Mental Health Support Worker and has spent the last decade to serving as an Outreach Worker for seniors in the Jewish Community. Her work is grounded in a deep respect for the knowledge, resilience and life experience of our Elders. She brings compassion, with her core philosophy centered on honouring the unique life stories of each individual and understanding how the journey of ageing affects one’s spiritual, emotional and physical well-being. Maxine’s approach is holistic, offering support that is grounded in empathy, continuity, and a genuine connection. With a warm sense of humour, affection, and deep understanding of cultural values, she helps ensure that seniors feel seen, valued, and included. Maxine is committed to upholding the dignity of elders and reinforcing their vital role within the community.
